Shelly Lynn Breedlove Limsky ("Sissy") passed away peacefully in her sleep on
June 4, 2022, at the age of 56 in Forney, Texas. She leaves behind her loving
and devoted husband, Mark Limsky, her two cherished sons, Cory Thomas (Kolby)
and Dylan Thomas (Ashle), her parents, Stan and Judy Breedlove, her siblings,
Stan Breedlove (Meredith), Terri Bowers (Ralph), Corrie Wilson (Steve), Jackie
Gabbard (Bill), Karen Shamblin, Dawn Sonnier (Mo), and her adored sister-in-law,
Tina Limsky (Angela). She also leaves behind her very special niece, Karena, and
a bonus granddaughter, Keatyn, her godchild/nephew, Robbie, nephews, Eddie,
Nicholas, Brandon, Drew, Mitchell and Jack, two aunts, four uncles, and several
cousins. Everyone has that special friend, and for her, it was John Simon of
Covington. She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Anita and
Larry Sonnier, her sisters, Connie Carlill and Desiree Sonnier, a brother,
Michael Stickler, 2 uncles, her step-mother, Cynthia Griffin, and her maternal
and paternal grandparents.
Shelly was born in Bermuda on August 2, 1965. She lived in Florida, Rhode
Island, Connecticut, Virginia, and Maryland. Her family settled in Texas when
she was in the 5th grade. Shelly graduated from Newman Smith High School in
Carrollton, Texas in 1984. It was there that she surrounded herself with the
people that became her lifelong friends. She cherished those friendships and
kept the memories close to her.
Shelly married Brett Thomas on December 2, 1988, in Gretna, Louisiana. Together,
they had her two sons, Cory and Dylan. It was through her boys that she lived
her life. She always felt that being a mother was her greatest accomplishment.
She never missed an activity or a function for either of them. Her goal was to
raise them as the best men they could be. She left this world reaching that
goal. They made her proud every day.
Shelly later married her soulmate and forever love, Mark Limsky, on January 22,
2022. They were childhood friends and found each other again after 40 years.
Theirs was a true love story. Although her time with Mark was cut way too short,
the love and compassion they had for each other was one to be admired by all.
Shelly's bond with her siblings, Stan ("Bubba") and Terri ("Ta Ta") was one that
could never be broken. They helped each other through good times and bad. The
void she has left is unimaginable to them.
Shelly could light up a room the moment she walked in. Her smile was beautiful.
Her laugh was contagious and her love for her friends and family was undeniable.
She had a huge love for racoons and would feed them and train them to trust her.
