OBITUARY
Aileen Riley Lindley, 84 of Lubbock went to be home with her Lord and Savior
on April 7, 2009. She passed away at home surrounded by family and friends after
a lengthy illness. Ailleen was born in Farmers Branch to Earl and Bertie Riley.
The family moved to Whitharrel in 1927 to begin farming. She attended and
graduated from Whitharrel High School and later went to Draughons Business
College in Lubbock. Aileen married James C. Lindley in El Paso on July 19, 1927
and they were married 64 years. She worked as a secretary in Tahoka and
Levelland and retired from South Plains College in 1985. She was a lifelong
member of Fifth Street Church of Christ in Levelland. Aileen was admired by many
friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Jimmy Lindley who died in 2005
and her twin brother Alvin Riley who died in 2006. Those left to cherish her
memories are her husband, James; daughter, Lisa Alexander and husband Lasiel;
five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and loved-ones on Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. April 8,
2009. Funeral service for Aileen will be 10 a.m. Thursday April 9, 2009 at
Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
