OBITUARY
ALTON LITTLE
LITTLE, ALTON LITTLE, loving father, husband and doting grandfather to his
grandchildren, was born September 18, 1927 to Cleva Abram Little and Flora Ellen
Holman, passed away November 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife (having just
celebrated their 50th anniversary in August), Melba Smith Little; children Karen
Davis & husband Robert of Lewisville,
Alton Little Jr. of Carrollton, Carol
Foster of Greenville, Brian Little & wife Jill of Lake Dallas; brother, Jimmy
Little & wife Pat of Farmers Branch; sister, Barbara Harrelson & husband Odie of
Lake Dallas, 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews
and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Iris
Free, and one granddaughter, Heather Armstrong. Mr. Little was a graduate from
Sunset High School; class of '46, where he was a very active member of the ROTC.
Later Alton became the owner of Alton Little Garage and Body Shop, maintaining
ownership for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Carrollton as well. He will always be remembered for his "creativeness" in the
kitchen as well as for his love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all
who knew him. Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 from 6-8 PM. Services
will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at 11:00 AM in the Rhoton Funeral Home
chapel, interment will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Dignity Memorial
