Jimmie
Lee Little May 23 1931 - August 15 2019
Our hearts are heavy as
we share the loss of our
beloved Father, Brother,
Uncle, Grandfather, Great
Grandfather, and friend.
Born May 23, 1931 in Pelly,
TX. He passed peacefully to
his new home in heaven
surrounded by a lot of
family and a lot of love on
August 15, 2019 in Farmers
Branch, TX. He was preceded
in death by his wife
Patricia Little, 2 sons
Jimmie Lee Little Jr. and
Mark Alan Little, both
parents, father Cleva Abram
Little and mother Flora
Ellen Little (Holman),
Brother Alton Little Sr.,
and sister Iris Free. His
ancestors immigrated to Rose
Hill, now Sunnyvale in 1834.
He lived most of his life in
north Texas, the last 40
years in Farmers Branch.
Jimmie graduated from
Carrollton high school in
1948. He was a Marine Corp
Veteran and served during
the Korean war. He worked at
Dallas Power and Light
Company for 36 years and
retired in 1986 as an
inspector for DP&L. He
worked many years after
retiring for a mortgage
service company as a Field
Rep and property
preservation contractor.
Jimmie was heavily involved
in local soccer
organizations such as NTPSA,
Carrollton-Farmers Branch
soccer association, and
others as a board member and
commissioner. Jimmie started
in soccer in 1973 as youth
team coach and referee in
Plano when youth soccer
started in that city. He
coached his sons and
grandkids soccer teams. He
formed many soccer teams
over the years in the adult
mens league, Co-ed league
and was a player on those
teams, well into his 60’s.
Jimmie refereed youth, adult
mens, adult womens and co-ed
soccer games for many years.
He refereed a youth soccer
game in Farmers Branch on
his 80th birthday. Jimmie
also loved classic cars, he
had many throughout the
years, he loved going to the
Good-Guys nationals car show
at TMS yearly. He had 2 dogs
and a cat that loved him
dearly. Jimmie is survived
by sons Dr. Jeff Little and
wife Angela, Steve Wigginton
and wife Roxanne, Don May
and wife Ollie, and Randy
May. 11 Grandchildren,
Alysia Little, Geoffrey
Little, Tracie Little, Jami
Tims, Stefani Wigginton, and
others. Sister Barbara
Harrelson. 14 Great
Grandchildren, many nieces
and nephews. |
