OBITUARY

Thomas Jefferson Long Died Wednesday Evening
Thomas Jefferson Long died at Baylor hospital, Dallas, Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock, Dec. 30, 1936, aged 72 years, 7 months and 24 days. Death was caused from a complication of diseases; a heart attack and congestion of the lungs being the main causes of death. He was carried to the hospital the first of the week for treatment.
Mr. Long was born in Churchill, Hawkins county, Tenn., May 6, 1864, and resided there until 1884, when he came to Texas and settled near Plano. He came to Carrollton territory in 1905 and has been a resident here for 31 years, being located in the town of Carrollton for the past 18 years.
He was married 49 years ago, Miss Fannie Meadors being his bride and she and several children survive him.
Funeral services were held in he Methodist church in Carrollton Thursday evening and interment made in Farmers Branch cemetery. Rhoton morticians caring for the obsequies.
