A Georgetown woman thrown from a motorcycle after it collided with a sedan last
night has died, Brackenridge Hospital officials said.
Shanan Looschen, 43, had been in critical condition overnight at Brackenridge
Hospital and was pronounced dead today. Officials said they did not have
information about when she died.
Shanan Looschen and her former husband, Luke Looschen, 45, were riding a
motorcycle westbound on FM 971 when the motorcycle hit a sedan that was making a
left turn from eastbound FM 971 to northbound County Road 152 around 8 p.m., a
Georgetown Police press release said.
Both were thrown from the motorcycle; neither of them wore a helmet. Luke
Looschen, who was driving the motorcycle, was in serious condition at
Brackenridge Hospital Tuesday afternoon, hospital officials said.
The driver of the sedan, Billy Watson, 66, was not injured in the incident.
Watson is from Green Cove Springs, Fla., and is currently staying in Georgetown.
No charges have been filed at this time.
