OBITUARY
Explosion Fatal For at Least One
DALLAS, Tex (UP) - A deafening explosion at the Thomas Construction Co.
today killed at least one man and injured at least five other persons, including
two small children.
the force of the explosion, believed to be from dynamite caps, shook houses at
least five miles from the scene of the blast at the north edge of Dallas. It
shattered windows in home within a half mile of the scene.
A roaring fire followed the explosion and firemen from Dallas and nearby Farmers
Branch were summoned.
Alfred L. Lynch, fireman from Farmers Branch, was dead on arrival at parkland
Hospital. He was blown from the building by one of the several explosions. After
being thrown into the street, he was run over by a truck.
