OBITUARY

James William "Bill" Lynch
November 17, 1952 - May 29, 2017

James “Bill” William Lynch passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at the age of 64.

Born on November 17, 1952 in Ames, Iowa, he was the son of James Haden Lynch and Susanne Cameron Lynch. Following a move to Texas, Bill attended a high school in Carrollton, Texas prior to going to Memphis State College.

Bill enjoyed his adult years with his family and friends, playing golf, playing pool, woodworking, and riding his motorcycle. He was proud to be a member of the Tannehill Masonic Lodge 52 in Dallas. The past few years, one of Bill’s greatest joys, was being called “grandpa”!

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and younger sister, Rose. He is survived by his wife Cathy Nelson Lynch of Sanger, formerly from Iowa, his daughter Emily Matlock and her recently adopted daughters Catalaya, Kyra, and Andreas-Naveen, a step-daughter Tracey and spouse Shawn and their daughter Harper of Waco, his step-son Michael and wife Katy and their sons Garrett and Wayland of Argyle.

A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday June 10, 2017 at the Historical Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of 7th and Elm Streets, in Sanger.

Should you so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation at curethekids.org.

Services are under the direction of Coker Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to www.cokerfuneralhome.com.
