OBITUARY
 
Obituary for Hattie MacDonald

Service for Hattie Lou Bell MacDonald, 85, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 28, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Cleburne. Dr. Robert Herzig and Reverend Kim Long will officiate. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Heidi Evans, Troy MacDonald, Michael MacDonald, James A. MacDonald, Autumn MacDonald, Miranda MacDonald, Cynthia Bullmer, James F. MacDonald and Lucas Simon. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Hattie Lou Bell MacDonald passed away Tuesday April 25, 2017 in Cleburne. She was born March 8, 1932 in Cleburne to Harvey F. and Lillian Ophelia (McAlister) Bell. She married James Angus MacDonald on November 16, 1951 in Cleburne.

Mrs. MacDonald was a registered nurse. She also was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch and after moving to Cleburne she became an active member of First United Methodist Church.

Hattie MacDonald is survived by her children, Mark (Debra) MacDonald of Royse City, Michael (Donna) MacDonald of Cleburne and Susan (Shane) Simon of Harker Heights; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Ruth Bell of Cleburne, Marilyn (Dale) King of Cleburne and Virginia Ann Smith of Shelbyville, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James A. MacDonald in 2014 and brother, Harvey F. Bell.
