OBITUARY
Devin
Ayres May
AUGUST 27, 1992 – MARCH 27, 2020
Devin May was born in 1992 and was raised by Sherayne and Alan May in
Frisco, TX. He graduated from Hebron High School in 2010 and attended
Blinn College in College, Station, TX. Devin worked as a plumber and was
pursuing an entrepreneurial career in e-commerce. On February 5, 2015 he
married Alexis and they had two beautiful children together.
Known as Dev, Devbo, D-Bizkit, and Bubba, he played hockey and was a
lifelong Texas Ace. He also played hockey for both Hebron and Frisco
High Schools. Devin loved sports, studying psychology, writing and
freestyle rapping. He also enjoyed trying new restaurants and cooking or
grilling for family and friends. He loved the beach and to be outside in
nature. His favorite movie and TV shows include Jerry McGuire, The
Office, and Friends. Some of his favorite times were spent traveling,
taking his kids on adventures, and teaching them new things. He attended
Elevate Life Church in Frisco, TX and Fellowship Church in Grapevine,
TX.
Devin was constantly looking out for others and always wanting to help
others who were suffering. No matter his position, he would focus on
helping others. He had a big heart and is gone before he could realize
the impact he had on all of those around him. He made sure his friends
and family felt loved and knew he was proud of them. He loved to build
others up. He taught a lot of us gratitude, that there is so much beauty
to be found in the smaller things of life. He proclaimed Christ as his
savior and had recently strengthened his personal relationship with the
Lord. He loved with all of his heart and loved hard. He would go to any
extent for those around him. His loyalty and love was truly like gold!
Devin’s children were the lights of his life. He was a passionate father
to Bryson and Alayna May. In every circumstance, he made sure to be
involved with his children and continually showed them selflessness,
love, and joy. No matter the situation, he looked out for them and
thought of them constantly.
Devin’s soul now rests with the Lord. 1 Peter 5:10 says “And the God of
all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have
suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong,
firm and steadfast.” In the next life, Devin has been restored and
saved. He is with the best Protector of them all. He has entered into
glory and eternity with Jesus, watching over those he loves and waiting
to one day reunite.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Bill Oliver, and his
dogs, Goldie and Rusty.
He is survived by his wife, Alexis May of Frisco, TX; parents, Sherayne
