Carol Ann Allen
March 18, 1936 - February 20, 2014

Carol Ann Allen was married to Rev. C.A. McBride on June 4th, 1954. She was blessed with the birth of her only daughter Mary Ann on July 4th, 1962. She helped her husband start his ministry as an Assembly of God pastor in Carlsbad, NM and together they moved to Coppell to pastor First Assembly of God church in 1964. She witnessed the marriage of her daughter to Rodney Marcantel on June 5th, 1987 and the birth of her only granddaughter, Morgan, on September 10th, 1996.
She gave 35 years to ministry as a pastor's wife, church secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and playing the organ. Her love for horses, especially her Paint – Prince – awarded her the nickname "The Rodeo Queen". She rode horses all over Coppell with her daughter. Many memories were made shopping at Prestonwood Mall. She got the finest service at all the restaurants she visited because of her friendly personality. She never forgot anything including birthdays and anniversaries and would never forget to send cards to everyone on their special days. It was a ministry that touched thousands of lives. Even in the many hospitals, she knew ever nurse, worker and doctor by name and they treated her with the best care because of her sweet spirit.
The last 2 years of her life were spent in hospitals and rehab centers but she never gave up on life until she was ready to meet her Savior. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit, incredible memory, great food she cooked, her love for Chinese food, her Dooney & Bourke purses, her many, many shoes, ‘old green car' and the Mercury Grand Marque car given to them on their 25th Church Anniversary.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Funeral service will be on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 10:oo am at Victorious Life Assembly of God, 2671 Macarthur Blvd, Lewisville, Texas 75067. Burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006.
