OBITUARY

Mark Alan McCarley
Funeral services for Mark Alan McCarley, 52, of Tyler are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Cooper Funeral Home of Athens with Jamie Starkes officiating.
He passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in Tyler.
Mark McCarley was born Nov. 12, 1954, in Dallas to his parents, Edwin and Shirley McCarley. He attended school in Carrollton and graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1974. He worked in sales for several years in the Dallas area before moving to San Antonio.
He moved to Tyler in 1992 and was the Vice-president of EMS Medical Transcription Service. He also was owner of Cross Towing of Tyler. He had a passion for cars and was an owner and sponsor of drag racing.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1979.
Survivors include his parents, Shirley and Durward Carter of Grapeland; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Robin McCarley of McKinney; aunt and uncle, Don and Greg Akins of Tyler; niece, Brook Hanna of Rockwall; and a nephew, Michael McCarley of Forney.
