OBITUARY

Memory of
Kory Lang McClain
November 28, 1975 - January 31, 2018
Kory Lang McClain, 42, of Farmers Branch, Texas, died Wednesday, January
31, 2018 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas after battling
complications due to flu and pneumonia. Services will be at 2:00 P.M.,
Friday, February 9, 2018, at Cathedral of Light Church in Farmers
Branch, Texas.
Kory was born November 28, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lannie and
Robbie Langford McClain. They moved to Farmers Branch shortly after
where Kory spent all of his childhood. He was active in sports, Cub
scouts and had many close childhood friendships. Kory enjoyed family
vacations, especially trips to Olton, Texas, where his parents grew up,
to visit grandparents and other family. Kory graduated from W.T. White
High School in 1994 and attended some college at Brookhaven in Dallas
and TSTC in Waco. Kory worked in customer service and most recently
worked at Amazon. Kory was a talented writer, artist, photographer and
had a deep love for music, known for his ability to memorize song
lyrics. He also enjoyed football, movies and good food. Kory often
attended church at Cathedral of Light with his daughter. Kory had a
light-hearted sense of humor and kindness that all who met him
experienced. He had many friends that loved him. His greatest
accomplishment were his children, Ben and Arianna. They were his pride
and joy.
Kory was preceded in death by his grandparents Earl and Gwen McClain and
Bill and Lee Langford, Uncle Gale McClain, and Uncle Arno and Aunt
Darleen Hall.
Survivors include two children, Ben Jennett and Arianna McClain of
Wylie, parents Lannie and Robbie McClain, of Farmers Branch and sister
Kauli Whitmire and her husband Tristan, nephew and niece, Colton and
Piper, all of Georgetown, TX. He is also survived by his Uncle Bobby and
Aunt Cherry Barker of Lubbock, Aunt Bonnie Smith of Weatherford, and
numerous cousins and extended family that he loved.
