A Celebration of Life for Sharon Lee Murray McClellan will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana with interment following at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Road, Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Officiating the services will be Pastor John Fream.

Sharon was born in Dallas, Texas to Norma and Royce Murray on June 1, 1951 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

She was raised in Carrolton, Texas with her brother, Kelly, and sister, April. After graduating R.L. Turner High School, she attended Oklahoma University.

Sharon married Dan McClellan on November 6, 1982. Together they spent 38 loving and fun-filled years where they raised three children, travelled all over the country visiting national parks and art galleries and cared for many dogs, cats, and even for a brief period, a tarantula. Sharon and Dan's time together can be measured by years, but it would be impossible to count the laughs or attempt to calculate the love they shared.

Sharon excelled at being a stay-at-home mom to Heather, Emily and Sam. She shared with her children her love of nature, art and humor. Sharon taught her kids the importance of hard work, compassion and kindness. She was known for throwing the best birthday parties that showcased her creativity and silliness.

Sharon was a gifted amateur artist, mostly working with watercolors and pastels. Her art was featured in numerous local and regional art shows, many of which she received rewards and accolades. In her later years, Sharon began to work with acrylics and mixed media collages. Sharon would often make art with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend. Preceding her in death are her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dan McClellan; her children, Heather Duckworth, Emily Kosik and husband, Ryan and Sam McClellan; grandchildren, Jackson, Savannah, Madeline, Austin, Annabelle, Violet and Charlotte; stepfather, Roy Cortez; her dogs, Bonnie Blue Binkie, Ginny Jingles and Princess Pixie Belle and her cat, Tabitha Tibbles Twitchet. Sharon touched the lives of all those she met, for she never met a stranger. She showed everyone unyielding kindness, compassion, empathy and love.

Honored to be pallbearers are Jackson Duckworth, Austin Duckworth, Hugh Knotts, Ken Kosik, Ryan Kosik and Morris Nichols. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is her brother, Kelly Murray.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
