OBITUARY
Genevieve Eloise McCleskey
McCleskey, Genevieve Eloise 91, of Richardson, Texas, formerly of Carrollton,
Texas died on Sunday, November 23, 2008, in a local hospital with loved ones Amy
Nelson and Mike Dugan, her faithful Senior Source volunteers near. She was born
on October 20, 1917 in Mena, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Cecil Carolan
and the late Roberta Walker Carolan. She attended Arkansas State University and
the University of Arkansas. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband of 47
years, the late Tom McCleskey, who died in 1994. Mrs. McCleskey was a retired
laboratory technician who served at the Veterans Ad-ministration Hospital for 28
years. She made friends wherever she went. Mrs. McCleskey was a mem-ber of the
First United Methodist Church in Carrollton. She would always smile and never
complained about anything. She prayed for those she knew. Sadly missed by
friends Amy, Mike, Debbie, Al, Juanita, Howard and her cousin Nancy. Her smile,
hugs and cheer-ful voice will be truly missed. Visitation will be on Wednesday
December 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Rhoton Funeral Home in Carroll-ton. Services
will follow at 10:00 with the Reverend Alan Hitt officiating. Burial will be in
Furneaux Cemetery.
