OBITUARY

Rites Planned For Ex-Mayor Of Carrollton

CARROLLTON, Texas - Funeral services for Roy McCormick, 68, of 1621 Walnut, pharmacist and former Carrollton mayor, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church here. Burial in Cemetery Hill Cemetery near Hebron, Denton County.
Mr. McCormick, former owner of a Dallas drug store in Oak Cliff and pharmacist at the Stoneleigh Drg Store in Dallas until his retirement, died Monday from accidental electric shock in a home workshop.
Mr. McCormick was a member of the Carrollton School Board, president of the Lions Club, deacon of the First Baptist Church, and teacher of Bible classes for many years.
Survivors: Wife; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Penfield of Garland and Miss Jean McCormick of Carrollton; two brothers, T. C. McCormick of Austin and R. E. McCormick of Fort Worth, a half-brother, Virgie Isom of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Etta Salmon of Plano, and five grandchildren.
