OBITUARY

WILLIAM ELGIE McDONALD
McDONALD, WILLIAM ELGIE, born Feb. 22, 1925 in Pinkston, TX to Mamie Lou Clark and Willie Leroy McDonald passed away March 12, 2003 in Lewisville, TX. He graduated from high school in Barry, TX and attended Navarro Junior College in Corsicana. William worked all over the US on a pipeline before working as a quality control inspector at Otis Engineering for 26 years of service before retiring. A great teacher, who taught by example, an accomplished woodworker, and an honorable man who never shirked responsibility. A lover of fishing and boating, an accomplished water skier and certified scuba diver. He enjoyed traveling, but liked being at home best. William loved his dog Molly with all his heart....they were constant companions. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Verna A. McDonald, three children; Phil McDonald, Connie Baker, and Brenda Godwin, two step-children; Debra Litt and Robert McDonald, along with seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Dalton & Son Funeral home Chapel on Friday, March 14, 2003 at 1:30pm, entombment will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA or the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice. Dalton & Son Funeral Home 1550 N. Stemmons Frwy. Lewisville 972-436-6511
