OBITUARY
 
Vernon Tracy McGuffin, age 60, of Eden, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in a San Angelo hospital. Tracy was born October 25, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Onice Jessie “O.J.” McGuffin and Delores Marie (Walker) McGuffin. Growing up, he lived in San Angelo, Winters and Carrolton, Texas. He was a self-employed plumber for many years. He has lived in Eden off and on for nearly 20 years and was very proud to serve as a member of the Eden Volunteer Fire Department for a period of time. He lived in Ft. Worth for several years where he worked in underground utility construction and operated a backhoe before moving back to Eden. He was a Baptist and actively attended the First Baptist Church in Eden for a period of years in the 90’s.

A memorial service for Tracy McGuffin will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Hallelujah Trail Cowboy Church (west of Eden) with Pastor Steve Belote officiating. The McGuffin family will receive friends Friday evening (May 4th, 2018) from 6 to 8 at the home of Tracy’s father, O.J. McGuffin, at 719 South Main Street in Eden. Friends may view Tracy’s Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign the online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Beers, Dwain Psencik, Michael Lockett, Roy Burnes, Jimmy Escamilla, Glen Gainer, Jose Castillo, Jimmy Hollon and Mike Watkins.

Tracy McGuffin is survived by his father O.J. McGuffin of Eden, TX; son Brandon McGuffin and wife Rachael of Raleigh, NC; daughters Kristen McGuffin of Denton, TX and Tiffany Webb and husband Jermaine of DeSoto, TX; sisters Trudy Tenut and husband Al of Phillips, WI and Jimmie Dady and her significant other Randy Biscamp of Tioga, ND; a dear and special friend Melissa Adams and her son Justin Beers; and grandchildren Kailee Lancaster, Haillie Webb, Brianna Clark, Brandon Clark, Jaiden Webb, Christian Spears, Abigail Spears and BraeLynn Clark. Tracy was preceded in death by his mother, Marie McGuffin and son, Tracy Scott McGuffin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Tracy McGuffin may be made to the Hallelujah Trail Cowboy Church, P. O. Box 1542, Eden, TX 76837-1542 or a local charity of your choice.
