WEDDING Miss Connie Fyke Weds Richard
McLendon
Miss Connie Fyke became the bride of Richard McLendon Saturday night in a
simple ceremony performed at Rockwall, Texas. The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Stogie Fyke of Carrollton and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T.
R. McLendon of Farmers Branch.
They were attended by Mrs. C. K. Mayes and Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Hill of Dallas.
Both Mr. and Mrs. McLendon are graduates of Carrollton High School of the year
1939 and were popular members of the younger set here. Mr. McLendon is
stationed at camp Bowie, Brownwood, Texas, in the service of the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Richard McLendon Honored With Shower Mrs. Richard McLendon was
honored with a miscellaneous bridal shower Wednesday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. C. M. Toombs. Miss Ada Mae McLendon was co-hostess.
Presiding at the punch bowl was Mrs. Clifford Mayes and at the bride's book,
Mrs. T. R. McLendon, Jr.
Approximately 20 guests attended. Mrs. McLendon was the former Miss Connie Fyke,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Fyke of this place.
