ENGAGEMENT
Engagement of Miss Ann Taliaferro Announced
The engagement of Miss Ann Taliaferro, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W.
Taliaferro of Farmers Branch and J. W. McMillan, son of Mr. and Mrs.. J. H.
McMillan, 4428 W. Potomac, was announced at a reception in the Taliaferro home
Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Mrs. Taliaferro, assisted by Mrs. W. B. Draper and Mrs. Will Gravley, Miss Fan
Denis and Miss Taliaferro received the guests.
Others in the house party were Mrs. J. H. McMillan, Mrs. Stanley Burney, Mrs.
John Martin, Mrs. Jewel Byrd-Coonrod, Mrs. Geneva Breedlove, Miss Mildred
Fleming, Miss Jalie Douglass, Mrs. Susie Crumley, Mrs. Georgia Davis, Mrs. W> G.
Birkner of Irving, Mrs. Homer A. Dennis of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Reeford Houston
of Arlington, Mrs. Glen Gravley of Terrell, Mrs. Kenneth Altizer, Mrs. Truett
Good and MRs. Loy Ford.
Mrs. Randolph Dowdle presided at the guest book.
The wedding will be solemnized Nov. 15, and Miss Fan Dennis will be the birde
elects only attendant.
Flowers for the centerpiece on lace-covered table carried out the brid-elect's
chosen colors, red, white and blue. Sixty guests called during the afternoon.
Parties honoring the bride-elect will be given by Mrs. Stanley Burney and Miss
Fan Dennis. Mrs. John Martin, Mrs. Loy Ford and Mrs. Truett Good.

OBITUARY
McMILLAN
ELIZABETH ANN. Born in Farmers Branch, Texas. A resident of Richardson for 55
years. Descendant of Isaac B. & Mary Webb, pioneers of Dallas County. Isaac Webb
brought Methodism to Dallas County and established Webb Chapel Methodist Church.
Longtime member of First Methodist Curch of Richardson. Member of Richardson
Chapter Eastern Star, Billingsley chapter DAR, Peters Colony Historical Society,
Richardson Historical Society and Webb Chapel Cemetery Association. Survived by
husband James W. McMillan (married 11-15-41); many cousins and a host of
friends. Services to be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 1994 at the FIRST
UNITED METHODIST CHURCH of Richardson 534 West Belt Line Road, Rev. David
Sherwver, Senior Pastor and Rev. Ann Cardwell, Associate Pastor, officiating.
Interment to follow at Webb Chapel Cemetery in Farmers Branch. Memorials may be
made to Webb Chapel Cemetery Association, 4026 Herschel Avenue, Dallas, Texas
75219.
