OBITUARY

Little Child Passes

Mary Ella McMillan, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett McMillan died at Parkland hospital in Dallas Saturday evening, September 20, at 7 o'clock after a sickness of three weeks. Just what ailment caused the death the doctors were unable to decide, we are informed. Some time ago the child had scarlet fever and after it ravages had been stopped, an affection started on the left leg. This trouble they were never able to subdue and blood poisoning resulted and caused death.
Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church Sunday evening at 5 o'clock, Rev. D. W. Nix coming from Grapevine and conducting the services. Interment was made in Union cemetery near town. Four young ladies, Ellouise Chastain, Jack Lewis, Jay Ella Myers and Frances Gravley were pallbearers; four other little Misses were flower girls. The floral offering was very beautiful.
Little Mary Ella was born October 21, 1927, and was nearly three years of age when taken away. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Everett McMillan and her going away has left a terrible void in the home of these young people. The deep sympathy of Carrollton people goes out to them in this sad hour in their life. may they have strength from above to bear this sad and heavy burden.

CARD OF THANKS

We desire to express to each and every one who were so kind and considerate to us during the recent sickness and death of our little daughter our heartfelt thanks and appreciation. Our grief is heavy but your kindnesses have made them lighter.  -Mr. and Mrs. Everett McMillan
