James Patrick “Jim” Meehan, 39, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2002 after a courageous battle with bone cancer. He was born on May 9, 1962 in Dallas, where he spent his entire life. Jim was a loving and caring son, brother, and friend. Although we will miss him dearly, we take comfort in knowing that his pain is over and he is resting in the presence of God. He is survived by parents, Richard “Dick” & Wanda Meehan of Hamilton, Texas; brothers: Gregg Meehan of Mountain View, California, Chris Meehan & wife Debra of Garland, Texas, Danny Meehan & wife Suzy of Bonham, Texas and Kevan Meehan & wife Pattie of Flower Mound, Texas; sister, Karan Koonsman & husband Mickey of Stephenville, Texas; aunts, Mary Egan & husband Jim of Farmers Branch, Texas and Shirley Shestak of Parish, New York and a host of family and friends. Funeral services are 10:00a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2002 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Don Russell officiating. Graveside service will be 3:00p.m., at the Hico Cemetery in Hico, Texas.
