OBITUARY
Farmers Branch Serviceman Dies Found Wounds
Specialist 4th Class Dustan William Meeks, 19, of 2657 Brandywine, Farmers
Branch, died on March 28, of wounds received to hostile action in Vietnam.
Meeks was with Co. B. 2nd Bn. 18th Inf, 1st Infantry Division.
A lifelong Farmers Branch resident, he was a member of the Farmers Branch
Boxing Club and competed in the Golden Gloves for four years. He attended R. L.
Turner High School before joining the Army in March 1968.
Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dorris W. Meeks, Farmers Branch, brothers,
Joe Meeks, Dallas, and Ronald Meeks, Farmers Branch; six sisters, Mrs. David
Evans, Dallas, Mrs. Larry Keithy, Irving, Modie Meeks, Vicki Meeks,
Cecilia Meeks and Leigh Ann Meeks, all of Farmers Branch.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rhoton, Weiland-Merritt
Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Grove hill Memorial Park, Military pallbearers.
