OBITUARY Born, Lived, and Died in Same
House Near Farmers Branch An old settler passed when J. M. Merrell died
at his home east of Farmers Branch at 10:45 last Saturday morning aged 84 years.
Funeral services were held at the home Sunday after noon and interment was made
in the merrell cemetery near by.
Mr. Merrell was born in the house in which he died. He grew up there and
when he came to the mans estate and took a wife a wife a wife he brot her to the
home he had been reared in. They spent their eventful life there and when the
end came he was still in the same place. The wife
died some time prior to her husband. They reared a family of nine children, all
of them yet living. Mr. Merrell was active and had been about the affairs of
life to within a week of his death he was in Carrollton just the week before his
