Helen Miller passed away Wednesday February 18, 2009 in Dallas, Texas from
colon cancer. She was 87. She was a very special lady and was loved by those
who knew her. A Memorial Service and Mass will be held in her honor at Mary
Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway and Dennis Road in Farmers
Branch, Texas on Monday February 23rd at 2:00 p. m. Helen was born April 18,
1921 in Blanco, Texas to Alfred and Mary Leyendecker Fries. She loved
gardening, the sunshine, and was an avid walker. She brightened the lives of
all who knew her with her humor and strength. Helen is survived by her
devoted and loving husband of 61 years, Richard Karl Miller and her four
children Pamela Ann Miller, Deborah Miller Watson, Michelle Miller Garcia
and Stephen Karl Miller. She is also survived by her eight very special
grandchildren. Lael Kelty Collop, Mark Allen Collop Jr, Stephanie Ann
Miller, William David Watson, Jessica Miller Pickens, Laura Michelle Garcia,
Jared Miller Pickens and Jenna Paige Watson. Helen will be interred in the
garden columbarium at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. The family wishes to
thank the staff at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and Comprehensive Cancer
Center on Josey Lane for the loving care, support and friendship Helen
received. Her strength and courage especially these last two years has been
an inspiration to us all. We appreciate all those who helped her in her
courageous journey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be
made to the
American Cancer Society Mosaic of Hope. Donations can be made

The Mass is a celebration of her life, and if planning to attend, she would
like it if you would wear pastels in her honor. Her favorite colors were
aqua and peach. We love & miss her.She lives on in us.
