OBITUARY

Our beloved Kyle Austin Milliman was born October 25, 1994 in Carrollton, TX. Kyle went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2012. Preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Milliman, Kyle left behind a host of friends and family members including his mother, Susan Milliman; sister, Bailey Milliman; brother, Dylan Grant, all of Carrollton, TX; girlfriend, McKenna Baxter of Dallas, TX; Grandparents, Bob and Judy Whelton of Dickinson, TX, Michael Nichols of Mesquite, TX, and Bob and Twylla Milliman of Des Moines, IA; Great-grandmother Muriel Thiem of Galveston, TX. Kyle also left behind a great multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Kyle was an amazing young Man of God who loved the Lord. Kyle was a member of Gateway Church in Southlake, TX, where he was a volunteer for three years in Crossfire, assisting with the 3rd to 5th grade children’s ministry. He also had the opportunity to serve on a Youth Missions Trip to New Orleans, where he assisted in holding an outdoor VBS for children affected by Hurricane Katrina. Anyone who knew Kyle knew of his great passion for all sports, especially his great love of football. Kyle began his football career with Prestonwood Sports Organization at the age of 8 for the Raiders, where he continued playing until he joined the Arbor Creek Eagles. At Arbor Creek Middle School, he received the honor of being named Best Defensive Player his 8th grade year. Kyle also played on the basketball team while at Arbor Creek Middle School. He then moved up to play football for the Hebron Hawks Freshman, JV and Varsity teams. He was an outstanding Linebacker, full of passion and drive. He never held back on the field. He was a favorite to watch as he had the crazy moves as well as the emotion of the game. Kyle served as a Leader with Journey to Dream for the past four years, a ministry that encourages young people to abstain from substance abuse and embrace salvation through Christ Jesus as Lord and Healer. The ministry team performed dramatizations in schools throughout the Metroplex. Through this venue, Kyle had the opportunity to minister the love of God to the hurting. He was always one of the first to make his way to comfort impacted students in the audience with his own personal Hug ministry. Kyle also served on the Training Team over the last two years, where he helped train other student leaders. Kyle was a genuine, loving, compassionate, fun-loving, smart young man. He loved making people laugh and loved pulling silly pranks on people. His heart was so big. He had a heart of gold.
