OBITUARY

Ed Roy Minix YORK, S.C. - Ed Roy Minix, 63, a retired USAir aircraft mechanic, died Thursday, April 2, 1998, at a hospital in Rock Hill, S.C. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ed Roy Minix was born May 27, 1934, in Meridian, Texas, and was the son of the late Roy B. Minix and Velma Mae Pittit Minix.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Minix Fortner of Forney, Texas.

Survivors: Wife, Kerrie Jane Kuiper Minix of York; son, George Ray Minix of Bridgeport, Texas; daughters, Deborah Jean Minix Hall of Weatherford, Texas, and Katrina Lynne Minix Spann of Kerens, Texas; sisters, Allien Minix McDonald of Wolfe City, Texas, and Jean Minix Cathey of Grapevine, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Ed Roy Minix was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Velma Minix, and a sister, Joyce Fortner.

Survivors: Wife, Kerrie Jane Minix of York; son, Ray Minix and his wife, Nancy, Bridgeport; daughters, Deborah Hall and her husband, Steve, of Weatherford, and Trina Spann and her husband, Roger, of Kerens; sisters, Alliene McDonald of Wolfe City and Jean Cathey of Grapevine; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

YORK - Mr. Ed Roy Minix, 63, 2179 U.S. 321 North died Thursday, April 2, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Minix was a retired aircraft mechanic with USAir.

Surviving are his wife, Kerrie Jane Kuiper Minix; his son, George Ray Minix of Bridgeport, Texas; two daughters, Deborah Jean Minix Hall of Weatherford, Texas and Katrina Lynne Minix Spann of Kerdons, Texas; two sisters, Allien Minix McDonald of Wolfe City, Texas and Jean Minix Cathey of Grapevine, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home and other times at the home.
