Treva Ann Minor was born May 14, 1941 in
Hamilton, Texas and died on July 14, 2014 in Corpus Christi,
Texas. She attended school in Hamilton and graduated from
Carrollton High School as salutatorian in 1959. She attended
Texas Women's University, Texas Western College (now UTEP), and
graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio in 1964 with
a degree in mathematics education. She married Joseph E. Minor
on September 3, 1960 and lived in El Paso (1960-62), San Antonio
(1962-69), Lubbock (1969-88), Rolla, Missouri (1988-95), and
moved to Rockport, Texas in 1995. She taught mathematics in the
Northeast Independent School District in San Antonio before
moving to Lubbock.
She loved children and devoted herself to children's activities
through the girl scouts and the Presbyterian Church. She was
especially devoted to her grandchildren and traveled annually to
Canada to be with them. Her hobbies were knitting and antiquing.
She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church and
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lubbock.
Treva Ann is survived by her husband, Joseph of Rockport, a
sister Linda of Plano, a son Joseph, Jr. of Hamilton, Ontario, a
daughter Diane Calvin of Cohasset, Massachusetts and four
grandchildren, James and Susan of Hamilton, Ontario and Maaike
and Henry of Cohasset, Massachusetts.
Interment will be at Seaside Memorial Park. |
