Obituary

Robert Ann Montgomery went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 13, 2017 at the age of 66. Affectionately known as Baby, Roberta was the youngest of five siblings. Born October 10, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA, Roberta was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend.

Roberta “Baby” had an infectious laugh, a “tell it like it is” disposition and an uncanny ability to never meet a stranger. Years of working as a taxi cab driver never tarnished her desire to hit the road in search of a new journey. All Baby needed was the destination for the family gathering, and she was on her way with a new friend along for the ride. Baby took no prisoners when it came to a card game of Spades, and she was a mean Domino player. Unable to have any children of her own, she never neglected to shower her nieces and nephews with love and plenty of “suga”.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Cleo Chatman and Mae Willie Watkins; husband, H.L. Montgomery; and brothers Willie “Sonny” Hutch and Richard “Dickie” Hutchison.

Roberta is survived by a brother, Frankie Hutchison, Sr.; sister, Mae Duffey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
