OBITUARY
Mary Moore
died August 18, 2006
MARY BEDAIR MOORE, age 77, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006. She was a
past President of the Houston-Aires Republican Women's Club and the Tejas
Republican Women's Club. Always politically active, she helped coordinate the
appearance of Nancy Reagan at a Club meeting during the '76 Presidential
Campaign, where Mary and her husband Tom served as Delegates to the Republican
National Convention.
She was a voracious reader and her exemplary vocabulary allowed her to complete
daily crossword puzzles in pen. Mary will always be remembered for her gracious
hospitality and her gift of accommodating one to one hundred guests at any given
time.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Hays Moore. She is
survived by her ninety-eight year old mother,
Corine Bedair; siblings, El Bedair,
Betty Wilhelm and Ginger Wisdom. Mary also leaves behind her loving children,
Tom H. Moore, II and his wife Jennifer; Dafran Provada and her husband Fred, and
Charlotte Cooper and her husband Blake; grandchildren, Felicia Broadwell, Paul
Provada, Lucy Aldrich, Curtis Cooper, Christy Geiling, and Jessica Moore.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, August 20, 2006, at
Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire,TX. Funeral Service will be at
1:00 pm, Monday, August 21, 2006, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 4900 Jackwood,
Houston, TX, with The Rev'd Christopher Bowhay, officiating. Graveside Service
will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at
Hilltop Memorial Park in
Carrollton, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church and
School, which was a large part of Mary's life.
