OBITUARY
MOORE, , PEARL COONROD Pearl passed from this life to the arms of her Lord
and Savior on May 31, 2007. She was born on August 31, 1905 in the city of
Leonard, Fannin County, Texas to her parents Myrtle Smith and Wade Coonrod.
Pearl's family moved, to Farmers Branch in the early 1910's, where she grew up
and eventually met the love of her life, Gayle Moore. Pearl and Gayle were
married on July 17, 1926 and began their life together in Farmers Branch. Pearl
was the proud mother of her devoted daughters, Alma Lois (Amy), and Joanie
Gayle, as well as a friend and confidant of numerous extended family members
throughout the state of Texas. Pearl and her family moved to east Dallas in
1940, where they lived the remainder of their lives. As Pearl rarely traveled
outside of Texas, she preferred to live a simple life surrounded by her friends
and family, as well as being thoroughly devoted to growing closer to her Lord.
Pearl and Gayle served their Lord through dedicated Bible study and faithful
church attendance at Gaston Avenue Baptist Church and Lakeside Baptist Church,
being active in Sunday School and the Triple "L" Club. Pearl modeled true love
by constantly putting other people first and allowing her beautiful and gentle
smile to be a beacon to draw others to her side. Pearl is an inspiration to all
as she lived her life so that she was never too busy to spend time with others.
Pearl was proceeded in death by her husband Gayle Moore, her parents Myrtle
Smith and Wade Coonrod, her sister Nora Pinyan, her brothers Curt Coonrod and
Earnest Coonrod. She is survived by daughters Alma Lois (Amy) Jones and the late
Bill Jones of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Joanie Gayle and Johnny Williams of Dallas,
Grandchildren Kim and Mike Kotrla, Kelly and Ken Norman, Kirk and Cindy
Williams, Brian and Ginger Jones, Karen and John Owen, as well as eleven
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces Juanita Reedy and Yvonne
Bradshaw, and nephew Joe Philpott, and countless friends that she touched
throughout her life. Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be lovingly remembered for always
putting her family first. Graveside service will be at 11 AM, Saturday June 2,
2007 in Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations cart be made in
