OBITUARY

Death Claims Mrs. Moore

Mrs Minnie Moore, 84, oldest teacher in the Dallas County school system when she retired several years ago, died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Barton Philpott, in Cisco.

Mrs. Moore, who was born near Carrollton, moved to Dallas with her family when she was a young girl. After her marriage to the late Tom M. Moore, she lived in Carrollton and Farmers Branch and taught school in both these places. She also taught at Walnut Hill and Coppell. She moved to Cisco to live with erh daughter several years ago.

She is also survived by a son, Gayle Moore of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Handly of Garland, Mrs. Homer B. Fisher of Dallas and Mrs. J. E. Southerland of Sulphur, Okla., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Carrollton's First Baptist Church, where Mrs. Moore was a charter member. The Rev. Gola Bailey and the Rev. Thomas B. Guinn will officiate with burial in the Farmers Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers, all nephews of Mrs. Moore, will be Arthur Good, Clarence Good, Rex Good, Marlon Good, David Nix, and Pete Handley.

OBITUARY

Moore, Mrs. Minnie, age 84, died Saturday. Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barton Philpott, Cisco; son Gayle Moore, Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Handley, Garland; Mrs. J. E. Southerland, Sulphur, Okla; Mrs. Homer B. Fisher, Dallas; five grandchildren. Services held Monday 2 p.m. from First Baptist Church, Carrollton, with the Rev. Gola Bailey and the Rev. Thomas B. Guinn officiating. Interment was in Farmers Branch Cemetery with Rhoton Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers: Arthur Clarence, rex and Marion Good, David Nix, and Pete Handley.
