OBITUARY

Elizabeth "Liz" Moreno
August 8, 1945 - April 20, 2021

Elizabeth “Liz” Rodriguez Moreno. Elizabeth entered the Lord’s presence on April 20, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1945 to Elias and Anastacia Guerrero Rodriguez in Dallas, Texas, immediately brought joy and happiness into the world. She graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 1963. After graduating from high school, she went on to pursue her field of study at Flatts’s Beauty College to be a licensed beautician which began a career of over 50 years as a gifted hairdresser.
She met and married Robert Moreno on April 12, 1969. Liz and Robert had two children and recently observed their 52nd wedding anniversary.
Affectionately called Liz, she dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife and mother. Liz excelled at supporting her children in cheerleading, Girl Scouts, Soccer and baseball through all of their busy seasons. Family came first and was above all else to Liz, a value she instilled in all those around her. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Liz stayed active in the school community and her church. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elias Rodriguez, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her sister, Anita Rodriguez Castaneda; two children, Treava Moreno Lewandowski (Tony) and Robert Raphael Moreno (Kathy); and 2 grandchildren, Anastacia Eva Lewandowski and Ryleigh Patrice Moreno. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins who will never forget Liz’s infectious smile.
Visitation will be held from 9am-5pm with the family greeting friends from 2-5pm on Monday, April 26, at Restland Funeral Home. The service will be at 9:30am Tuesday, April 27, in the Memorial Chapel.
