U.S. Veteran

Ronald L. Morris, 69 of Rhome, Texas peacefully passed away surrounded by family on October 20, 2016. Ron was born on October 16, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Harry and Uva Morris. He graduated from R.L. Turner high school and Mountain View College. He served in the Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam war. He earned several medals including The Purple Heart and by the direction of the President The Bronze Star of Heroism.

Ron worked in the automotive paint business for 47 years. He enjoyed golf, nascar, traveling with his family and he really loved Disneyworld and Vegas.

He was a generous man who helped many only because it made him happy to do so. He will be remembered the most for his sense of humor. A truly funny man who lived for making others laugh. There will be a void in all the lives of those that knew him.

Ron is survived by countless friends, his Aunt Francie Link (who is more like a sister), his sisters Marylou Montgomery, Loretta Conway, Becky Crawford, brothers Billy Morris and his wife Sue, Gary Morris, 13 Nieces and Nephews, Son in laws Chris Cruz and Ariel Aguirre, grandchildren Devon Cruz, Arianna Cruz, Brooklyn Cruz, Diego Aguirre and Luke Aguirre and his two daughters that meant everything to him Mysti Cruz and Corey Morris.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 11th at 2pm at Mulkey Mason funeral home in Lewisville, Texas. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his name to the American Lung Institute or any other organization that supports Pulmonary Fibrosis research.
