OBITUARY
MOSELEY
JOHN LARRY. Born November 30, 1939 in Carrollton, Texas, he died December 7,
1999 in Carrollton at age 60, Larry grew up in Carrollton and during his high
school years was a letterman in baseball, football, basketball and track. After
graduation From Carrollton High School in 1958 he build drag racing cars from
1960-1968. From 1976-1981 he was crew chief for his son, Mark, who raced
motorcycles. He also coached Little League sports in the '70's, and was an avid
hunter and fisherman. During the last two years, Larry helped build and maintain
dirt track race cars for his son, Mark, and friends, Joe Ross, and Jimmy Mathis,
who worked for Larry at the "Moseley Care Care". The business he owned and
operated in Carrollton for the last 15 years. Mr. Moseley is preceded in death
by his brother, Charles Moseley and parents, Charles Otto and Johnnie Moseley.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, JoAnn Moseley, son, Mark
Moseley and wife, Mary Lynn, grandson, Broc Moseley, sisters, Betty Gravley of
Pilot Point, Texas, Billie Kyser of Irbingh, Texas, uncles, aunts, nieces,
nephews and numerous friends, Larry was kind, honest, and helpful. He would go
out of his way to assist old-timers in Carrollton who depend upon him for car
care and other favors, He was a charming man who endeared people to him wherever
he went. He will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held at Rhoton
Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 10, 1999. Burial follows at
Restland Memorial Park. Pastor Joe Moore and Pastor Brent Taylor will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 9,
1999 from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Larry
Moseley Scholarship Fund at Comerica Bark, 2625 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, Texas
75007.
