OBITUARY
 

MOTT, JEFFREY R. Jeffrey R. Mott passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, after a brief battle with cancer. Born on December 14, 1958, in Gainesville, Texas, Jeff graduated from R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton and became a licensed electrician. A skilled professional with an infectious and dry sense of humor, Jeff worked for 23 years for Prime Controls and their first company, Gerico. Many water districts throughout the state of Texas have benefited from Jeff's consummate professionalism. He loved fishing with his buddies and biking to rallies, restoring Nissan Z-series cars, and his grandmother's chocolate pie. The great and abiding loves of his life were his wife Renee, his children, his parents, his 2009 Limited Edition Screaming Eagle Harley Davidson, and his 2011 Nissan Fairlady 370Z coupe. He was preceded in death by his sister Venissa, grandparents Fred and Lorraine Mitchell and Raymond and Robbie Mott, and his aunt Betty Aiken. He is survived by his wife, Renee; children Kira and Jeffrey; step-children, William and Brandi; mother, Doris Mitchell Mott; father, Raymond C. Mott and step-mother Margie; Aunt Jean and Uncle Frank Dyer; Uncle Fred and Aunt Patti Lou Mitchell; Uncle Philip and Aunt Joyce Mitchell, and cousins Frank Dyer, Jr., Lorrin Dyer, Lisa Engels, Joseph Mitchell, Kelly Casto, Michael Mitchell, Bradley Mitchell, and Corey Mitchell. A memorial service celebrating the life of this extraordinary man will be held on April 1 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas, 75074. Donations may be made to your favorite charity or to his: Toys for Tots.
