OBITUARY

Robby D. Nash
March 18, 1941 - July 27, 2010

Robby D. Nash, 69, of the Falconhead community, Burneyville, OK, was born March 18, 1941, in Cleburne, TX, the son of Ralph B. and Oma J. Sims Nash. He passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Granbury, TX at the age of 69.

Mr. Nash had been a resident of Carrollton, TX from 1947 until July 2003 when he moved to Falconhead to make his home. He and Mary Lou Sifford were married April 29, 1983 in Dallas, TX, and she preceded him in death on November 18, 2009.

Mr. Nash served in the U.S. Army from November 23, 1964 until November 4, 1966 and was awarded various commendations including the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Award and the National Defense Service Medal. He was employed as a manufacturing manager for TRW. Mr. Nash was a member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church.

Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Laurie Nash of San Diego, CA; stepdaughters, Lazette Johnson of Hurst, TX, Rio Childs and Melba Masson of Granbury; Bud Hill of Marietta, who was like a brother to him, always caring for and checking on him; sisters-in-law, Ada Bess Hill, Dorotha Sifford, JoNell Stribling, LaPat and Graham Brewer and Mary Lee Sifford; two grandsons and a great-grandchild on the way.

  • In Memoriam - Carrollton High School - Class of 1959

  • Robby had cancer and had recently finished his last chemo treatment. He just didn't do well. He had recently moved from his Oklahoma home to live with his stepdaughter and family in Granbury, Texas. He died Tuesday evening, July 27, 2010. His services were Saturday, July 31, with Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta, Oklahoma handling arrangements. Several classmates attended the service.
