OBITUARY

NELSON, THOMAS E. "BUDDY", JR. 47, of Denton died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004. He was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Dallas to Mary Katherine and Thomas E. Nelson Sr. He graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1975. He earned Texas Junior College All-American honors as quarterback of the Navarro Bulldogs in 1977. He worked for the Dallas Mental Health and Retardation Center. He attended classes at the University of North Texas. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton. A memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will immediately follow the Mass at the home of John Nelson, 1024 Magnolia, Carrollton. Survivors include his parents; four sisters, Nancy Frerick, Joan Jensen, Kathy Rybolt and Laura Nix: three brothers, Rob Nelson, John Nelson and Joe Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception New Church Building Fund, 2255N. Bonnie Brae St., Denton, TX 76207; or Buddy Nelson's Burial Monument Fund, 9339 Crimnson Court, Dallas, TX 75217-8662.
