Dennis Lee New

Dennis Lee New received his crown in glory and was released from his earthly bondage on Sept. 7, 2010. Dennis was raised in Dallas and Farmers Branch, Tx. He graduated from Turner High School, Carrollton, Tx, in 1966, where he excelled in both football and baseball. He received a football scholarship to Baylor University where he also played baseball. After graduating Baylor in 1970, he began a successful career in business administration. Dennis had a special charisma about him that helped others feel at ease in his presence. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and he shared his faith with others often. He looked forward to the day that he would meet Jesus, face to face. Born June 23, 1948, Dennis was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Earl New. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Emily and James Marr, his wife, Marilyn, daughter and son in law, Carrie and Chris Faulkner, son and daughter in law, Denny and Jill New, also 4 grandchildren, Cole, Jackson, and Emily Kate Faulkner and Carter New. He is also survived by sister and brother in law, Betty and Bill Sides, brother and sister in law, Ron and Joan New, brother and sister in law Pat and Suzan New and sister and brother in law Cathy and Steve Binkley. And a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Dennis' life will be held Wed. Sept 22, 2010 at 4:00p.m. at First Baptist Church, Forney, Tx., 1003 College Ave, Forney 75126 or 972-564-3357.
