Jo Ann "Jodie" Good Noel of Carrollton, Texas, died July 8, 2013. She was 87 years old.

Jo Ann was a life-long resident of Carrollton, Texas, and a descendant of the pioneer Noah Good family. The Good family was among the first families to settle the area in 1846, and establish a community that has grown into what the Carrollton-Farmers Branch area is today.

Jo Ann married James Noel, her Carrollton High School sweetheart, in 1946, after his return from the Navy at the end of WWII. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, and a tireless homemaker. She treasured her many life-long friends and especially her family. She will always be missed and always be in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband, James (90); sons, Jim (Jesse), Joel, and Justin and wife, Vicki; granddaughter, Jennifer and husband, Isaac; and grandchild, Owen Weathers. She was preceded in death by her father, John Allen (Sally) Good and her mother, Ora Mae Pearson Good.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013, in the Brooks Family Chapel at North Dallas Funeral Home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013, at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery
