OBITUARY

On the morning of June 19th, 2015, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Halena Marie O'Haver joined our Father in Heaven. She passed away at her home, in Rio Rancho, NM. She was 34 years old.

Halena was born in Dallas, Texas to Veronica and Conrad Husak on November 9th, 1980. She was the oldest of their three children. Halena attended RL Turner High School in Carrolton, Texas, and the University of Texas Arlington. Halena moved to Albuquerque, NM in 2001 where she met her husband Cyrus O'Haver in the spring of 2006. They were married later that year.

Halena was a wonderful mother to her two sons, and cared deeply for the many children she has been a nanny for, as if they were her own. She had a passion for cooking, and would always feed anyone she could. She valued her family and friends immensely, and loved to host events and gatherings including birthdays, baby showers, and holidays. Halena also had compassion for animals, and no one would be surprised if she brought home a stray dog in an effort to find it a good home (or give it a good home).

Halena was preceded in death by her grandmother, Halyna Husak, her grandfather Konrad Husak, and her brother Eric Nicholas Husak. Halena is survived by her husband Cyrus O'Haver; two sons Matthew Husak and Bishop O'Haver; parents Conrad and Veronica Husak; grandmother Stella Snekutis; her sister Erica Husak; niece Veronica; brother Michael Husak; sister-in-law Samantha; niece Isabella; nephew James; aunt Christina and uncle Jack Bromley; cousin Timothy Bromley; mother-in-law Maggie Winter; brother-in-law Adrian O'Haver; his wife Sarah and niece Katherine, brothers-in-law Victor Winter and Clay Winter.

Halena will be missed greatly and remembered fondly by many, and so will her ribs, spinach dip, enchiladas, and Christmas Cookies.

Services will be held Friday 26, 2015 at Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th Street from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
