Odom
A memorial service was held February 4th at Webb Chapel United Methodist Church for Bessie Fay Dennis Odom, a great-granddaughter of Isaac B. Webb. Reverend Joe Shafer officiated the service, which was atte4nded by family, friends, and neighbors.
Mrs. Odom, along with her sister, Fan Dennis, will be remembered by Farmers Branch citizens for their generous donation of family heirlooms to the City of Farmers Branch. The artifacts are held by  the Historical Department and are on exhibit at selected times in various locations within the city.

Her grandfather, Isaac B. Webb, was one of the first four settlers in Nacogdoches County, along with John Pulliam, Thomas Keenan and family, and John Cochran. He served as the first postmaster of Farmers Branch, and brought the first circuit-ridden preacher into the area.
Webb's Chapel Road is named for him. Dennis Lane, in both Farmers Branch and Dallas, is named for Fan and Fay's father.
She is survived by her sister, Fan Dennis; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Homer Dennis; a nephew, Charles Dennis; and cousins Anna Cochran, Ann Talliferro McMillan and Mark Asbury.
