OBITUARY James W. Ogden,
Garage Owner, Succumbs at 49
James William Ogden, 49, an employee of the Golman Baking Company for
twenty-two years until he left the firm a few weeks ago to go in business with
his son, died suddenly Monday at his home, 3417 Wendelkin.
Ogden and his son, Jack Ogden, had just opened a garage business on Corinth. He
had been a resident of Dallas County for forty-eight years, coming here with his
parents from Oklahoma. He had been a pilot for twenty-nine years and owned a
plane which he flew as a hobby.
Surviving besides his son are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Nanelle Connell, and a
brother, Otho Ogden, both of Carrollton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Campbell Funeral Chapel,
300 West Davis, with the Rev. W. Graham Pugh officiating. Burial will be in
Carrollton.
Pallbearers will be Troy Vencill, Floyd Vencill, Les Butler, O. Lawrence, John
Peretta and James Vencill.
