Margie Beatrice Oliver

FORT WORTH -- Margie Beatrice "Meme" Oliver, 83, retired from Southwestern Bell, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel of Dallas. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Dallas. Visitation: 1 p.m. Friday.

Born in Whitewright, she was the youngest of four children born to Rufus and Pearl Dennis. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1938. She worked at North American Defense Plant in Grand Prairie during World War II. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 36 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Oliver.

Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Brown; grandson, Brian Brown and wife, JoBeth; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Eric, Kati and Tyler Brown; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
