LARRY OTTINGER
A Celebration of Life Service for Larry Ottinger, 70, of Wills Point,
TX, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2015, at International
Outreach Church, located at 1404 Lake Dr, Wills Point, TX. Burial will
follow at White Rose Cemetery under the direction of Hiett”s LyBrand
Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.
Larry went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
Larry Michael Ottinger, Sr. was born October 26, 1944, in Coppell, TX,
to Mike and Eula Ottinger. He was the beloved husband to Karen Smith
Ottinger, devoted to each other for over forty-two years. He lived his
life as a strong Christian man who served God in all his endeavors. He
worked for Dr. Floyd Norman as a ranch manager for twenty years, before
beginning his employment with Vistawall in Terrell. Following his
retirement from Vistawall in 2007, Larry fulfilled his lifetime passion
of serving others. He will be remembered in the community for his
dedication to International Outreach Church as an Usher, Greeter, youth
ministry and Hallelujah Night hay ride coordinator. Being the co-founder
of the WPYSA, he enjoyed coaching and had a positive influence to many.
He loved gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor. He was also
involved in Boy Scouts, Youth Baseball, volunteer firefighting and the
Juvenile Diabetes Association.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, along with sons, Mike
Ottinger and Bryan Ottinger, grandchildren, Gabe Ottinger, Eli Ottinger
and Selah Hope Ottinger.
Larry was a loving husband and father above all else, and is survived by
his wife, Karen Ottinger of Wills Point; children, Travis Schaubroeck of
Wills Point, Troy Ottinger and wife, Rachel of Forney, Tiffany Ottinger
Suits and husband, Greg (Pecos) of Wills Point, and Cindy Ottinger of
Amite, LA; his pride and joy were his grandchildren, Jason Duracher,
Kristin Duracher, Bryan Schaubroeck and fiancée, Bianca, Zac Schaubroeck,
Bryan Ottinger, Savannah Suits, Isabelle Suits, Malachi Ottinger and
Naomi Ottinger; great-grandsons, Maddox and Preston; brothers and
sisters, Bobby Ottinger, Nancy Flanagan and husband, Bob, Doris Davis,
Jim Ottinger and wife, Charlotte, and Diane Freestone; mother-in-law,
Evelyn Smith; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point,
TX on Saturday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM.
In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to International Outreach
Church, in memory of Larry. He was adamant in being an organ donor and
was his last service to others. |
