ARTICLE Sgt. J. E. Parsley is survived
by wife, Mrs. Katherine Parsley, and children, Eddie, Dannie and Carline, who
make their home with the Parsleys who live on the Northwest Highway, Route 6,
Box 570, Dallas 4, Texas. He entered service March 30th Last year, was reported
missing in action December 22nd, and was reported killed December 25th.
Mrs. Parsley received the message the 22nd of February. The message he was
missing arrived on the 23rd of January.
Sgt. Parsley had been awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge on December the
6th, and was promoted to Sergeant on the 8th.
He went overseas last September and was killed in Southwestern Belgium.
First a bookkeeper for Lyon-Gray Lumber Company, he went to Continental Motors
in 1942, where he was working when he joined the service.

MEMORIAL SERVICES HELD FOR PARSLEY, MOSELEY AND NOEL Memorial
services for three young men who have given their lives for their country,
Earnest Noel, Charles Moeley, and J. E. Parsley, will be held at the Carrollton
Methodist church on Sunday, June 3, at 3:00 P.M. An appropriate program is
being planned, at which time Rev. Felix Kindel, former Methodist pastor here,
will bring the principal message.
An invitation is extended to friends and relatives of these young men to attend.
A more detailed announcement of the program will be given next week.
