OBITUARY NOLA LINN PELLEGRINI
"Where shall we see a better daughter or a kinder sister or a truer friend" Nola
Linn Pellegrini was born April 24, 1948 in Ft. Worth, Texas and passed away
January 3, 2005. A lifelong resident of Dallas, she graduated from R. L. Turner
High School in 1966. She attended Texas Tech University. In the early 1970's
Nola began a long and successful career in the securities business working for a
variety of major firms including First Southwest, EF Hutton, Republic National
Bank, Barrow Hanley Mewhinney & Strauss, and for the last decade Paragon
Associates. Her dedication to the education of her children resulted in a great
deal of volunteer work for their schools, especially St. Alcuin Montessori. An
avid reader and crossword puzzler, her home was filled with books and her mind
with ideas. Nola is survived by her daughter Ashley and son Matthew. She is also
survived by her father and step-mother, William Linn and Fran Scott of Lake
Kiowa; her siblings, Kenneth Linn and family of Houston, David Linn and family
of Houston, Patsy Linn Lee and husband of Irving; her step-children, Michael
Pellegrini and family of Austin, Carlo Pellegrini of San Francisco and Amy
Pellegrini and husband of Cortona, Italy as well as numerous aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nola's friends were always friends for life, and
she will be missed by so many. In lieu of flowers, contributions could be made
to the Jesuit College Preparatory scholarship fund established in memory of her
children's paternal grandparents, Cecelia and Carl Pellegrini. A memorial
service will be held at the Unity Church of Dallas on Sunday, January 9th at
2:00 p.m.
