MEMORIAM

UPDATE on my sweet dear sister Dee Brannon Peterson: This morning Dee passed away after being taken off of the ventilator. After about 15 minutes she went on to meet the Lord and is now dancing and singing “To God Be the Glory” with my Dad singing bass with her. Daddy now has one of The Brannon Family singers with him before the throne of God. We grew up singing (Southern gospel music) as a family and my Dad sang bass. He sang with us till we all became teenagers and we retired him from the Brannon Family singers. We appreciate all your kind words, prayers and thoughts for Dee and the family. We love you all.
The memorial service is going to be at the Pathway of Life Church church at 8510 Military Parkway, Dallas, Tx 75223. It is located at one of my school campuses (Buckner Preparatory) and will be in the church sanctuary at 10:30 AM, Saturday August 6th. The main outside sign has Buckner Preparatory on it.

ORIGINAL POST:
My sweet dear sister DeAnne has been at the hospital since last Saturday night. She went to ER because she could not breath. They diagnosed her with heart failure. She is now in ICU on a ventilator. Instead of getting better she is getting worse. She now has pneumonia throughout both of her lungs. The ventilator has been set over the last couple of days between 80% and 100% oxygen just to keep her alive. Unless God raises her from that ICU bed (which we all believe He is able to do) she is not going to get better. She has valiantly been fighting over the last few weeks for her health and vitality. She was admitted into a long term care center (last week) for physical therapy to help her walk and get back on her feet. We did not know at the time that she was fighting pneumonia and heart failure. She left the long term care facility last Saturday and then was admitted into the hospital early Sunday morning.
As I was driving to the hospital last Sunday morning (Glenda and I had been out of town and was driving back to Dallas) the Lord just spoke so clearly to me about Dee’s faith toward Him. I know that many may not have believed Dee always made the best decisions in her life. But as I was driving my car, listening to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir (Dee use to be my church choir director and the choir sang many of their songs) and reminiscing about those times, God spoke so clearly to me, “though others may not have been impressed with Dee’s decisions, God was always was impressed with her faith toward Him”. I did not always love all the decisions she made, but I always loved her faith in God. I was impressed with her faith and I always encouraged her in her faith. Others may judge others by what they see with their eyes, but God judges others with what He sees in their heart. Thank God that He does not judge us for our faults but judges us by our faith toward Him. Otherwise, I would stand guilty and judged for my mistakes and decisions with no hope for a future. I had to learn that God does not judge us as guilty, because He took all our guilt, shame and judgment upon Himself, as he died on that cross so many years ago.
My sweet dear Dee has more faith than most of us, including myself. She has always loved the Lord and put Him first. She has always followed Him the best she understood. For that I am proud of you Dee. God is proud of you and you will stand tall (as you are) redeemed in His presence by the blood of the lamb with Daddy, Papa, Maw, Aunt Juanita, Aunt Sondra, Uncle Ray, my cousin Kim, and all those in faith that have gone before us, if God does not do a miracle. Our family stands in faith toward God regardless of the outcome. Please be praying for my sweet dear sister, my mom, my brother Keith, and the rest of the family. God is REMAINS faithful and we stand together as family trusting Him with all our heart.
