OBITUARY

DUANE POPE
Born 09/28/59 in Brookfield, Ohio passed away on 02/05/03 in Lewisville, TX. Duane spent most of his life in Carrollton, TX and was a 1977 [1978] graduate of R. L. Turner. Duane's life centered on the love for his family and his passion for music. He is survived by his wife, Tina Pope, 11/2 yr. old twins, Zachary and Emily, stepchildren Misty Dunn and Jaryd Eeds, mother Joan Pope, father, Tommie Pope and wife Wanda, sisters, Vanessa Myrick and husband Larry, Tommie Belz and husband David, 95 yr. old grandmother Clara Campbell, mother and father-in-law, Lois and Dan Peevy, sisters-in-law, Vida Lane, Rose McBrayer and husband Mike, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, 02/10/03 at Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow. OBITUARY OF DUANE's GRANDMOTHER

Clara (Gibson) Campbell, 100, passed away June 3, 2008 in Lewisville, Texas. She was born in Duluth, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Gibson and the youngest of seven children. A graduate of the 1927 class of Denfield High School, she earned her teaching degree from Duluth Teacher's College and taught Grade School and Special Education for 37 years in Cloquet and Esko. She married George Martin Campbell and resided in Cloquet, Minn., until her retirement in the late 70s. An active member of the First Presbyterian Church, she served as Sunday School Superintendent for several years and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attributed her long life to her faith in God and just being happy with life in general. She was a resident of Lewisville Estates Assisted Living and had many friends among the staff and resident's. Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters, husband, and grandson, Duane Campbell Pope. Clara is survived by her daughter, Joan Campbell Pope of Trophy Club, Texas; and granddaughters, Vanessa (Larry) Myrick and Tommie Pope Belz. Clara will be missed by her great granddaughter, Macy. She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews. MEMORIAL SERVICE:3:30 p.m. Saturday June 14, 2008 at the Lewisville Estates Assisted living center in Lewisville, Texas.
