At just 6 years old, Fred made the life-changing decision to follow Jesus, setting the foundation for a lifetime dedicated to spreading love and faith. His commitment to serving others led him to establish Walking in Love Ministries as Missionaries in Eku, Nigeria, West Africa, where he touched the lives of many with his message of compassion and kindness.

He continued his journey by attending Southern Methodist University on a football scholarship, ultimately earning a bachelor's degree in Business. Fred's dedication to his work was evident in his years of service at Texas Power and Light, where he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Fred found his greatest joy in his family. He shared 57 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Mary Kay Posey, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Fred is survived by his cherished sisters, Dorothy Jean Posey Ward and Roxanna Posey, as well as his brother-in-law, Bill Howell, and a host of nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Dan Howell.
